Mipa 1K Isolator Aerosol
Mipa 1K Isolator Aerosol is a fast-drying specialist primer designed to isolate solvent-sensitive existing paintwork before refinishing. It creates an effective insulating barrier that prevents lifting, wrinkling, bleeding and other paint reactions when applying new solvent-based coatings over older finishes such as thermoplastic paints and alkyd resin coatings.
Ideal for automotive refinishing, restoration work and repair of older vehicles, Mipa 1K Isolator allows technicians to confidently overcoat unknown or sensitive paint systems without the risk of damaging the original substrate. The primer dries quickly and can be overcoated after approximately 1 hour at 20°C, helping to keep repair times to a minimum.
The ready-to-use aerosol provides excellent coverage and is suitable for use beneath both 1K and 2K solvent-based paint systems. It should be applied in 1–2 light coats to properly prepared surfaces, creating a smooth, stable foundation for subsequent primer or topcoat application. Its outstanding insulating properties make it an essential product for bodyshops, restoration specialists and anyone working on older paint finishes.
