British Standard Number Plates – Front & Rear Plates
At Independent Paint Supplies, we manufacture high-quality British Standard number plates for cars, vans, and commercial vehicles. Our premium acrylic number plates are produced to UK legal requirements and are suitable for road use throughout the United Kingdom.
Available as front or rear plates, customers can customise their plates to suit their vehicle with a choice of standard white/yellow plates, green EV plates for eligible electric vehicles, or Welsh Dragon plates. Plates can also be supplied with or without a black border for a personalised appearance while remaining road legal.

All number plates supplied by Independent Paint Supplies are manufactured in accordance with current UK legislation and will include:
• Independent Paint Supplies manufacturer's details
• The required British Standard number (BS AU 145e)
Please note: By law, we cannot manufacture road-legal number plates without these details printed on the plate.
Required Documents
As a DVLA-registered number plate supplier, we are legally required to verify both your identity and entitlement to display the registration before we can manufacture your number plates.
You must provide:
Proof of Identity (one of the following)
• Driving Licence
• Passport
Proof of Entitlement to the Registration Number (one of the following)
• Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C or V5CNI)
• Green New Keeper Slip from the V5C or V5CNI
• Certificate of Entitlement (V750 or V750NI)
• Retention Document (V778)
• Renewal Reminder for Vehicle Tax or SORN (V11 or V11NI)
• Temporary Registration Certificate (V379 or V379NI)
• Number Plate Authorisation Certificate (V948) with DVLA stamp
• Electronic Number Plate Authorisation Certificate (eV948 or eV948/2)
Information Required
When placing your order, please provide:
• Full Name
• Vehicle Registration Number
• Upload of your Proof of Identity document
• Upload of your Proof of Entitlement document
Orders cannot be processed until all required information and documentation have been received and verified.
All plates are manufactured to order and checked for compliance before dispatch.

If you experience any issues with your order, please contact our team as soon as possible and we will work quickly to resolve the matter. Damaged, incorrect, or missing items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Products should be returned unused and in their original packaging where possible. Please note that we are unable to accept returns on mixed paint products. We also cannot accept responsibility for colour issues once paint has been applied.
