Mipa Anti Silicone Additive
Mipa Anti Silicone Additive is a professional paint additive developed to eliminate silicone-related paint defects and improve the flow of automotive coatings. Specifically formulated to prevent cratering (fish eyes) caused by contamination from silicone, polish, wax and grease residues, it helps produce a smooth, flawless finish even on difficult substrates.
Suitable for use with Mipa 2K paint systems including OC, AC, PUR and PUR HS, as well as Mipa synthetic resin paints, the additive improves surface wetting and levelling without affecting drying times. It is ideal for bodyshops and refinishing professionals where traces of silicone contamination may otherwise lead to costly paint defects and rework.
Easy to incorporate into the paint system, Mipa Anti Silicone Additive is typically added at 2–5% of the mixed paint, helping ensure consistent application and a high-quality finish. It is an essential workshop product for achieving professional refinishing results when contamination cannot be completely eliminated.
