Business Development Manager
Derek joined Independent Paint Supplies in October 2025, bringing with him a fantastic reputation and a wealth of experience from his time with the Waregrain Group, a long-established company based in Cardiff. With his extensive background in the industry and deep understanding of both products and customer needs, Derek has already made a big impression on the IPS team.
Since joining, Derek has transferred his entire customer base to IPS, giving the company a huge boost and strengthening our position across Wales. His network spans from the West Coast to the East Coast, and he’s already opened doors to some major new opportunities and partnerships. With his professionalism and proactive attitude, Derek continues to drive IPS forward, and we’re genuinely excited to see what the future holds with him on board.
Derek’s approach to business is built on trust, consistency, and service excellence, and he’s known for always going above and beyond to support his customers. He’s also quickly become a hit within the team — always friendly, approachable, and never shy to get involved in the work social WhatsApp chat, where his sense of humour keeps everyone entertained.
Outside of work, Derek is a proud Luton Town supporter and a dedicated Karate practitioner — meaning he’s equally ready to tackle big sales goals or a rogue comment in the group chat with the same precision and discipline!
