Warehouse Manager

Jake is the Warehouse Manager at our Swansea branch and has been part of Independent Paint Supplies since September 2019, joining shortly after the company was founded. Having previously managed the Port Talbot warehouse at FMP Motor Factors, Jake brought with him an incredible eye for detail, an organised approach, and a reputation for running a warehouse that operates like clockwork.

A true perfectionist, Jake takes immense pride in his work — everything that leaves his warehouse has to meet his exacting standards. His accuracy and product knowledge are second to none; in fact, he’s known for remembering countless part numbers off by heart. Jake has an uncanny ability to spot even the smallest mistakes, often noticing when a product has been booked under the wrong brand for a customer and fixing it before it ever leaves the building. That attention to detail ensures that the Swansea branch maintains its reputation for flawless service.

In addition to managing the warehouse, Jake now oversees all supplier ordering for Swansea, making him a key link in the IPS supply chain. His calm efficiency and consistency make him a hugely valued part of the team — someone everyone can rely on.

Outside of work, Jake is known for being the life of the party, often one of the last standing at a work night out. He’s also a keen runner, having achieved some impressive times since taking up the sport in recent years, and a loyal Swansea City fan, cheering on the team with the same dedication he brings to his work.

What's your proudest moment (inside or outside of work)? First Half Marathon (Llanelli) February 2025- 1 hour 31 minutes!
What's your go-to karaoke song on a team night out? Candy Shop by 50 Cent- The crowd love it!
If you could swap jobs with anyone at IPS for a day, who would it be and why? Van drivers- show them how it's done
What's one thing on your bucket list you have to tick off in the next five years? Travel- Thailand, Australia etc. And also to jump out of a plane!
