Delivery Driver

Known to everyone simply as “Pasty,” Nigel has been part of Independent Paint Supplies since the very beginning, joining the company in 2019 as one of our first delivery drivers. Having previously worked for Brown Brothers for many years, Pasty brought with him a fantastic knowledge of the local area, a strong understanding of the industry, and a reputation for delivering with both efficiency and a smile (sometimes).

If there’s a customer in South or West Wales, chances are Pasty’s delivered there! He’s built brilliant relationships with customers over the years and is known for his friendly nature, quick wit, and legendary football banter. Always up for a laugh, Pasty keeps everyone entertained with his football stories — especially when the Swansea City vs Cardiff City rivalry comes up (and as a proud Swansea fan, he’s never short of a comeback!).

Pasty also became something of a local celebrity during his time as the “face of IPS” — starring in countless videos for Wednesday Deals, Christmas Raffles, and even the grand opening of the Cardiff branch. The videos were a massive hit, and with the views and reactions they received, we briefly worried we might lose him to Hollywood!

After helping Steve North to build the Cardiff area during his first two years, Pasty returned to the Swansea branch, where he continues to cover multiple delivery routes with the same energy and humour he’s known for. A true original and a huge part of the IPS family, Pasty’s dedication and personality make him one of a kind — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

What would we find you doing on a Sunday morning? Going to the local bookies to put my bets on for the day
If you could have dinner with any three people (dead or alive), who would they be? Susanna Reid, Francis Rossi (Status Quo) and Sylvester Stallone
What's one thing on your bucket list you have to tick off in the next five years? To be a kitman for a football league team- preferably the Swans!
