Known affectionately by everyone as “Uncle Steve”, Steve joined Independent Paint Supplies in January 2021 and quickly became a much-loved member of the team. With a background in management, Steve brings a natural sense of professionalism, structure, and organisation to everything he does. His work ethic is second to none, and he consistently sets the standard for excellence across the business.

A proud first-language Welsh speaker, Steve is a key part of our West Wales team, working closely with Business Development Manager Derek John to provide exceptional service to customers across the region. His ability to communicate in Welsh, combined with his accuracy, reliability, and friendly manner, has earned him a fantastic reputation — customers absolutely love him, and it’s easy to see why.

Steve is known for always going the extra mile (literally) to get the job done. Whether he’s making a last-minute delivery, helping the warehouse team, or simply sharing a laugh with colleagues, he brings warmth, dedication, and a sense of calm professionalism wherever he goes.

The nickname “Uncle Steve” came about when IPS found itself with what felt like 200 Steves at one point — and as a family member of one of the Directors, the name stuck! Now, even customers know him by it. Outside of work, Steve is a passionate Welsh Rugby fan and an avid traveller, having visited an impressive list of countries — with plenty more still on his to-do list. A true gentleman and a huge asset to IPS, everyone loves Uncle Steve.
