Fast Mover Tools Zirconium Flap Discs 115mm (Pack of 10) are premium-quality abrasive flap discs designed for fast, efficient material removal, grinding, blending, and finishing across a wide range of metalworking applications. Manufactured using high-performance zirconium abrasive grain, these professional flap discs deliver aggressive cutting action, excellent durability, and a superior finish compared to conventional grinding discs. Available in P40, P60, and P80 grits, they are ideal for fabrication workshops, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, restoration work, and general metalworking applications.
Available from Independent Paint Supplies, these European-manufactured flap discs feature 54 abrasive flaps, a 115mm diameter, and a 22.2mm centre bore, making them compatible with most standard 4.5" angle grinders. The zirconium abrasive grain is self-sharpening during use, maintaining cutting performance for longer and providing a significantly longer working life than traditional aluminium oxide abrasives.
The flap disc design combines grinding and finishing into a single operation, helping reduce processing times and improve productivity. Unlike traditional grinding discs, zirconium flap discs produce a smoother finish whilst generating less heat, reducing the risk of metal discolouration and distortion during use.
The P40 flap disc is ideal for aggressive stock removal, weld grinding, rust removal, paint stripping, edge beveling, and surface levelling. Perfect for fabrication work where rapid material removal is required.
The P60 flap disc offers an excellent balance between cutting speed and finish quality. Ideal for weld blending, deburring, surface preparation, and general-purpose grinding applications.
The P80 flap disc is designed for lighter material removal, blending, deburring, rust removal, and preparing surfaces for priming, painting, or coating. It leaves a smoother finish and is ideal for final preparation work.
