Glasurit 68 Line CV Multi Wash Etch Primer
Glasurit 283-1870 CV Multi-Wash Primer 4L is a high-performance chromate-free wash primer designed to provide outstanding corrosion protection and adhesion on a wide range of substrates. Developed for commercial vehicle, industrial, and specialist vehicle applications, this versatile primer delivers excellent levelling, fast drying, and reliable protection for both repair and new-build coating systems.
Available from Independent Paint Supplies, Glasurit 283-1870 is suitable for use on steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and other metal substrates where long-term corrosion resistance and excellent topcoat adhesion are essential. Its smooth application characteristics and excellent flow make it particularly well suited for large surfaces such as commercial vehicles, trailers, fabricated metalwork, and specialist transport equipment.
The advanced formulation offers rapid drying times whilst maintaining excellent levelling properties, helping to improve workshop productivity and reduce process times. For improved hiding power, the primer can be tinted with up to 3% Glasurit 568-408 Primer Tinting Paste, making it easier to achieve topcoat coverage on difficult colours.
Glasurit 283-1870 can be used as part of both a 2-layer system with Glasurit 68 Line PLUS topcoats or a 3-layer system when combined with products such as Glasurit 284-45 or 284-90 primer fillers, providing maximum flexibility for a wide range of coating specifications.
