Sikkens Colorbuild™ Plus Activator (Reducer/Thinner) is a specialist reducer developed for use within the Sikkens Colorbuild Plus primer surfacer system. These products function as dedicated thinners/reducers, allowing painters to optimise viscosity, flow, levelling, and drying characteristics to suit different repair sizes, temperatures, and application methods.
Available from Independent Paint Supplies, the Colorbuild Plus Activator range is designed to work alongside Sikkens Colorbuild Plus primer surfacers and hardeners, ensuring optimum application performance and finish quality. By selecting the correct speed, technicians can tailor the primer system to maximise productivity whilst maintaining excellent appearance and process reliability.
Designed for smaller repairs, spot repairs, and cooler workshop conditions, the Extra Fast Activator provides rapid solvent evaporation and faster processing times. Ideal for SMART repairs and fast-turnaround repair work where speed is essential.
A versatile general-purpose reducer suitable for most day-to-day refinishing work. The Fast Activator offers an excellent balance between application performance and drying speed, making it ideal for panel repairs and medium-sized jobs.
Formulated for larger repair areas and warmer workshop temperatures, the Slow Activator provides extended flow and levelling time. This helps maintain a smooth finish across larger panels whilst reducing the risk of dry spray and overspray texture.
Developed specifically for the Colorbuild Plus wet-on-wet process, the Standard Non-Sanding Activator optimises application characteristics and flash-off performance, allowing the primer surfacer to be directly overcoated without sanding.
