U-POL ZINC 182 Rust Inhibiting Primer is a high-performance 1K anti-corrosive primer designed to provide effective rust protection on ferrous metal surfaces. It forms a tough, durable coating that creates a reliable foundation ready for subsequent paint application.

Ideal for automotive restoration, body repair and general metalwork, ZINC 182 can be applied to bare mild steel, original paintwork, e-coat, SMC, GRP and polyester fillers when correctly prepared. For aluminium and zinc-coated steel, U-POL specifies the use of a suitable etch primer such as ACID#8 before application.

Its strong anti-corrosive properties make ZINC 182 particularly useful when repairing areas where bare steel has been exposed. While it can be applied where loose rust has been removed, U-POL advises that complete rust removal will improve the effectiveness and longevity of the protection.
